Dakotah is a rare pureblood American Barb horse; meaning he is a descendant of the original pure-blood Spanish horses brought over to the New World, by Christopher Columbus and Hernando Cortez, another great Spanish explorer. This amazing bloodline is also often referred to as "American Barbs, or sometimes SABAS, an acronym from the breeds that made them in Spain before hoof set to ground in the new world, meaning:
